Restorative Music

Restorative Music is a form of musical improvisation that uses the qualities of sounds to produce a calming effect in the brain. The pieces below are performed by Clara Takarabe, a music practitioner and violist who performs with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Clara Takarabe and Cognitive Neurologist Borna Bonakdarpour, developed Resoratie Music during the COVID-19 pandemic to help reduce tension and anxiety.
